Over the Christmas holidays I received a drone, a Mavic Mini 2. Never having flown a drone before much less take pictures with one, I have been practicing flying and researching on places to take it. There are many regulations on drones, and many of the places that I would want to fly it they are not permitted. But as of right now I am making a list of places to go and thinking of creative ways to photograph something a little different.

In the image above, is a shot of a sunrise at 400 feet above my house. This is the highest allowable altitude by the FAA regulations.

Also taken at 400 feet, this image was taken about an hour before sunset on the Flagler county side of Crescent Lake. The small island seen in the distance is Bear Island and Crescent City is located to the right of that island.

I do find drone photography very captivating and gives a very unique perspective to photography. Look for more drone photography coming soon in the months to come.
