It has been several years since I had photographed the Castillo.  I began last week by photographing from inside the moat looking up at a tree over a couple of benches.  It hadn’t turned out as well as I had hoped at the time but over all it wasn’t a real bad image either.  Last night, I felt the need to get out and play with the camera some more.  I headed back to historic St Augustine to see what I could get.  There was a waxing moon above, illuminating the stormy looking skies moving above the fort.  I had noticed these 2 palm trees on the south end of the fort and the huge crack in the wall behind them.  I focused on the palm trees and used the Castillo as a back drop.  Since the area was well lit with tungsten lighting, I used a very cool color temperature of 2600K.
