This morning I decided to go out and play with the drone. I went to photograph a sunrise over Crescent Lake at Fletcher Park in Crescent City, Florida. The challenge here was shooting into the sun which led to a high contrast image. I am used to using gradient filters in front of my lenses but that isn’t an option on drones. To remedy this, taking multiple exposures and blending them together in post processing is necessary. The image above was processed as a HDR, although I am not a big fan of it I think it worked well here.

I am still new to drone photography and I have a lot more yet to learn. This drone has opened up a whole new world of opportunities that hadn’t existed before. I love the angles that you can get from using drones. It probably won’t be long before I purchase one that has more capabilities with a better camera than what this one has.

For a miniature drone like the Mini 2, the camera does take outstanding pictures! I am very happy with what this little thing can do!
