St. Marks Lighthouse is the most photographed lighthouse in my collection. During the time my son spent in college, I would take a short trip to St. Marks Wildlife Refuge for some photography. Shown here is a collection of images of the lighthouse.
The image above was taken August 1, 2021 on the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, Canon EF 24-70mm lens
When I arrived here, there were a group of photographers working the area. I found a place for me to shoot at sunset and afterwards I waited until dusk. After the sun had set, everyone had gathered up their cameras to leave. There was a lady who was shooting near me as she hesitated to leave. I spoke up and told her the best light was yet to come, so she stayed to see what she can get. She was amazed at what she captured, as her shots were much different than that of the group. It amazes me how many people give up when the sun goes down but fail to wait for the best possible light that is yet to come.

It was high tide in the morning when this was taken. I had put on some waterproof shoes and waded out into the bay to get this shot.
