Capturing a beautiful sunrise with a drone

This morning’s sunrise over Crescent Lake was captured using a DJI Mavic Mini 2.  Some of the best places to be to shoot a sunrise or sunset in the state of Florida will be over a lake.  Florida has more than 30,000 lakes so as you can imagine, water is everywhere!

I woke early this morning and couldn’t sleep so I decided to take the opportunity to try to photograph a sunrise.  It was 32 but it didn’t feel that cold because the wind was calm.  I drove to Fletcher Park on the north side of Crescent City and was happy when I saw this colorful sky just before sunrise.

On October 9, 2024 this fishing pier was severely damaged when Hurrican Milton made landfall and moved across the state.
