Everglades Visit in the Month of March
My wife and I traveled to Long Pine Key Campground in the Everglades National Park. Our goals were to take high-quality photographs, hike trails, and enjoy the park’s scenery. Our two small dogs, Milo and Paco, seemed to enjoy the trip too. Milo especially liked getting a Pup Cup from Starbucks at the end of the trip. Both dogs were well-behaved the whole time.

I love cypress trees! I was attracted to this scene of a cypress swamp along the side of the road.

I set up on this lone cypress tree and waited for the stars to shine above. I used the flashlight on my cell phone to illuminate the tree and foreground.

Sisal Pond

Sisal Pond is a body of water just off of the main road. It looks to me to be more of a small lake than a pond. I walked around this pond looking for good place to shoot a sunset. I chose this spot because of the submerged rocks. A breeze created movement on the water, but I wanted to show the rocks beneath the surface so I used a long exposure coupled with a polarizer to remove glare.
