The Ocala National Forest encompasses a total of 6072 miles and offers activities such as fishing, swimming, snorkeling, canoeing, boating, hiking, camping, hunting, and more. The forest is made up of mostly sand pine scrubs and is home to the Florida black bear, white-tailed deer, migratory birds, alligators, manatees, and even wild monkeys. The forest has a variety of features that include natural springs, swamps, sinkholes, creeks, lakes, and prairies.
