The Liguus fasciatus tree snails found in the Everglades National Park are unique among the land snails that are found in North America.  These tree snails are in the Bulimulidae family and are bright in color with varying patterns.  This is a tropical species that originated from the West Indies and can be found in tropical hardwood hammocks.
