The Everglades National Park is the largest tropical wilderness in the United States, encompassing about 1.5 million acres. The park captivates wildlife photographers from around the world since the Everglades is home to a large number of wildlife species of birds and alligators. It is also home to a number of endangered species such as the American crocodile, manatee, and the Florida Panther to just name a few.

The Everglades today is only about 20 percent of the size that it used to be and the area is pretty much on what you would call “life support”. There is a lot of work being done to save this wonderful environment to keep it here for generations to come.
